Atelier - IAP

IAP - Instituto de Artes do Pará is the cultural institute that formed a partnership with the CALQ for this residency. It is located in the neighborhood Nazaré, right next to the Basilica Santuario de Nazaré. Facing this basilica is a park with a samaumeira tree (for those of you who have seen avatar - think home-tree!). At dusk, the tree fills up with what seems like all of the parrots in the city - and they roost! The sound is amazing! Much like the kaja i was drawn to in Sweden...
